Helping friends organize their spaces is a great way to get free goodies. I just got two awesome books, a fancy pillow, and a super-sleek folder by helping my sister organize her office.
So, I suggest you do a trade with someone you know. You help them organize, and you get first crack at their Goodwill pile.
Exchange.
Repeat.

Coyote Now Registering for Winter Term. Classes Start January 30th.

I've been doing some recruiting work for Coyote Central. I wouldn't normally go into middle schools nor do follow-up calling, but I think this organization is amazing.
Coyote Central is an organization that offers courses to 5th-9th graders on the weekends. The kids get to do amazing things like cooking, glass-bead making, animation, and welding. The courses are not free, but there is tons of scholarship money available, and Coyote has never turned down a kid because they didn't have the cash. If you know a curious middle-schooler, check it out.
They are now registering for Winter term. The fun classes fill up fast. Classes begin January 3oth!

Large, Hairy & Literate, Thursday, January 14th, 5-8pm
I was going to just post about how awesome ZAPP is on an ongoing basis, but then I saw that they are being especially awesome right now. This harmonizes with a wonderful call I made to the universe for the world of the Sasquatch to overlap with mine. So, let's see what happens when we combine two of the most amazing species on earth: The Yeti and The Zinester!
ZAPP is upstairs at
